I don't have a USB 3.0 reader yet, but maybe somebody else will chime in.

I have the Sandisk ImageMate All-In-One USB 3.0. At 500mb/s, its very noticeably a lot faster than my old USB 2.0.

Thanks. That's one I was looking at now that I have a machine with usb 3.0 ports. :)

I finally got out to use my camera today for the first time since the semester began. Went to the local St. Patty's Parade and had a great time relearning how to use the camera. :) I ended up with 270 photos and couldn't wait to get home and see how the new PC would handle them.

This thing is SOOO much faster than the old laptop.

i5 2500K Quad Core CPU overclocked to 4.3 GHz
8GB 1600 MHz RAM
and most importantly, 120GB SATA 3 SSD
It also has an nvidia Geforce 560 TI video card but I'm guessing viewnx doesn't use it. I know photoshop will use it for some things but not sure what. It works great for Civilization 5 though. lol

Next thing I want to do is get a good pair of matching led lcds. Right now I have my old 22in lcd and 19in crt on the desk. The crt is just too big.

Anyone used one of the low end ips panels? I see there are several brands with models under $200.
