Voting for "Linear Perspective" Assignment
« on: July 21, 2008, 08:28:07 AM »
Thank you to everyone that participated in the "Linear Perspective" assignment.  Hopefully the preceding discussion and assignment on "linear perspective " helped you to develop the skill to visualize and employ the techniques associated with linear perspective to convey a sense of depth in your images.

The images submitted for the "Linear Perspective" assignment are displayed below.   Please vote on your favorite image for the "People's Choice" award.  Simply select the image title in the "poll" attached at the top of this thread, and click "submit vote."  NOTE:  You need to be logged in to see the voting options.  Voting will end at midnight, Mountain Daylight Time (GMT-07:00) on Sunday, 27 July 2008.

Remember that the guidelines for "Linear Perspective" were:  "Use converging lines to draw the viewer into the scene and establish a sense of distance and depth, or use transitions in size between near and far objects to provide a “relative scale” from which we can derive a sense of distance and depth.  Curved lines (especially an “S” curve), can be very effective a drawing the viewer into and through the scene, while providing the cues used to perceive depth.  Don’t forget to use techniques we learned in the “balance” assignment to provide a pleasing composition and balance between primary and supporting elements in the scene."
