Carriage House GateI love the architectural details at Glen Eyrie Castle, a place that was built in the early 1900s and designed to last "a thousand years." Hopefully I'll get a chance to post more in the coming days.

The Olympic OpeningShot in N.O. Insectarium where the ways of a red ants colony is shown behind a glass. The lens hood of my 105/2.8 was kissing the thick glass, hence the fuzzy image. Bounced (reflected???) light from the SB-900 (i-TTL) on the D700.

AmnioticTaken indoors with lights under a glass table with a red tablecloth to get that warm glow. Processed with lighting, colour, tranparency, diffuse glow, noise and hue to give it that hazy look. The final outcome was that she looked like she was in her mother's womb....hence the title Amniotic.

Rosa FixDr. Joyce Thiere, of Ride into History, portrays the figure Rosa Fix. Dappled natural light was chose to add energy and interest to the lighting. A Nikon SB900 fill flash, set at -1, was used to tame the contrast.

Staying Cool in VegasThis was shot with my Canon 900 point and shoot. I know it doesn't approach the clarity of the larger digital cameras but I was bound and determined to try to finally submit something into a Weekly Assignment. I hope this works!!

Vanishing Dreams of SilverThe mountains around Park City, Utah, were honeycombed with tunnels and shafts in the search for silver in the late 1800's and early 1900's. This mill survives.
