selling designThe very nice designer whose funky pillows caught the eye of my Mom who then sat on the sofa and called me to say how comfortable it was. When we went to see it, Evan bought into the funky pillows and we ended up with a designer sofa that I would never have dreamed I would like. 24 hours later, our livingroom is furnished with a sofa, rug (ordered on the internet) and love seat (found at a different store). That is record speed for Keith and me on this house remodel.

EarMy favorite assignment subject, of course, is the kids. So, I told Keith, the technical assignments are tough as it is hard to get the kids to stay still long enough to fiddle with the camera to get a technical shot. McKenzie was sitting on Keith's lap with the sun streaming in the window and backlighting her ear. With Keith's help, we kept her still for a moment. I Even got to try the super macro setting on the S3.

At the symphonyFor McKenzie's 6 month birthday today, we went to the symphony and ballet - it's the family symphony that Colorado Springs Philharmonic does and welcomes kids. Today, they performed Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream. The kids got to play the instruments before hand - McKenzie took a liking to the violin! She stayed awake, wide eyed through the entire symphony/ballet - fascinated. Evan loved it too!

Tea and quietAt the eleventh hour, I finally got all kids asleep and had time to do my assignment this week. I know, there should have been tea in the cup, but I didn't have that much time!

Elmo in the bowlAs I was giving the kids a bath last night, Elmo's bright red caught my eye. Doing dishes today, my cyan mixing bowl provided a complement!
