Alert in the WoodsEvery moment tracking deer in this area is fragile, though I was able to hide behind a small tree and watch this young animal for a few minutes. Moments after this photo we were eyeball-to-eyeball as it stamped its foot at me. Once it realized I wasn't easily intimidated it lept into the woods and safety.Sep 02, 2010

Moody's PondLast Sunday morning while out on my walk with Bodie while we were visiting some friends in the mountains I came across this scene. The sun was coming up, the lighting on the calm pond, the trees and the great blue sky seemed to be just right so of course I stopped there and take the photo. Jaws: the light in my eyesIt wasn't looking good for being able to go out and shoot real people or critters so as I was slouched on the couch flipping through channels, I started to pay attention to the notion of catchlight and how that light in the eye really does capture the viewer's attention. I put my camera on continuous shooting as I watched a documentary on the making of Jaws. In the midst of many bad images this double exposure of Spielberg and other images was created.Aug 28, 2010
