"A New Day"George (now 92 years old) was staring out the window wondering what new challenges this day would bring.
TranquilityI don't believe anything can top the evocative images coming from Japan today. I had just looked at several heart wrenching shots from the earthquake and resulting tsunami when I began working on this assignment picture. This was just a quick take today at the International Museum of Art and Science here in McAllen, TX. Just being in the room calmed my soul. The kids and I happened to be here when no one else was visiting. So, this is my wish for calm and tranquility for the citizens of Japan today.
nature conquers natureinspired by the "insight" tree breaking up concrete by prariedust I found this more subtle form of "life is stronger than anything". We leave the autumn leaves as a natural cover and shelter against frost. When nature burst into life in spring, the daffodils just pierce through the dead leaves...
spring is in the air!Even our airplants feel that spring is in the air. Two days ago it produced this flower.
Can you hear the blues?Think Clapton, blues, the nosebleed section of the MGM grand with thousands of fans and my point & shoot....are you feeling the ryhthms, feeling the vibes?
Cherished sneakersI remember I had a pair almost identical to these! I loved them the moment I saw them. I still have one more idea I want to try out. Maybe I will do it tomorrow.
Fasnacht!Remember seeing your first parade? Hopefully, this photo evokes that memory for you. This was the first band to appear in the Einsiedeln Fasnacht parade. The photo is short on the bottom in the frame but I think it adds to the photo because they are coming down a hill and the band leader is dominant in this photo with the children in the little bit of sun light. I have many band photos but I like this one for the assignment because of the atmosphere.
