Winter Wonderland #2or... "Have a Very Berry Christmas"
Winter WonderlandI took a walk through the Flint Hills Nature Refuge over the weekend. It's as close we've gotten to a 'winter wonderland' so far. A freezing drizzle added a sparkling glaze, and frost outlined the edges of leaves in a wooded area.
Evening - Moody BluesWhen the sun goes down
And the clouds all frown
Night has begun for the sunset.

See it with your eyes;
Earth re-energized
By the sun's rays every day.
Take a look out there,
Planets everywhere.
"If I Should Fall Behind," Faith Hill"We said we'd walk together
Come what may
Back from the twilight
Should we lose our way
If as we are walking
A hand should slip free
I'll wait for you
Should I fall behind wait for me"

I didn't get the chance to create the image I visualized, so here's one that fits the sentiment of the song. When our loved ones need a hand to hold, we'll be there...
You Are So BeautifulOur grandson Rowdy spent New Years Eve with us and this is him after his evening bath all snuggled up in a soft white bathrobe. We enjoyed a wonderful evening and couldn't help but think of the song You Are So Beautiful". Hope you enjoy the photo as well - jack
"America the Beautiful""America the Beautiful" is an American patriotic song. The lyrics were written by Katharine Lee Bates and the music composed by church organist and choirmaster Samuel A. Ward. Bates originally wrote the words as a poem, Pikes Peak, first published in the Fourth of July edition of the church periodical The Congregationalist in 1895. At that time, the poem was titled America for publication. From time to time it has been proposed as a replacement for The Star-Spangled Banner as the National Anthem.

Kenny Rogers "The Gambler"You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away and know when to run
You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealing's done
Santa Claus is Coming to Town!!This time of year, one of my favorites is "Santa is coming to town" I find myself singing that a lot to the kids especially when they are whining and they say "no mama, not that song!!"
