The HorizonIn this image, the foreground details/objects (trail in between canyon, stone formation, trees, faraway bridge) are clearer, it has more vivid colors and sharper contrasts. Whereas over the vast distance, the overlapping ridge of hills, mountains & faraway points looks hazy and blurry. Their contrast and colors are also less distinct. This effect is often times referred to as atmospheric perspective. It helps to convey and judge depth and distance, from Near to Far.
