Click to see all comments made by prairiedust 09/03/10 at 11:11A source on the 'net says when a deer stomps its foot it's a warning (to other deer) and it's also trying to coax an object into movement. Stomping also, apparently, lays down a scent as a warning to other deer that danger was in the area.
