Crested Butte Wildflowers, Scouting
« on: July 23, 2009, 07:47:21 AM »
We arrived a day early in order to allow some time for "scouting" for our Wildflower Photography Workshop.  Here are a few quick "snaps" with the point and shoot as Keith raced up the trail in West Maroon Basin to see what wildflowers might await the workshop group.

By this time in the afternoon it was windy and the light was harsh, but we are really looking forward to coming back to West Maroon Basin to photograph with the group.  There were lots of beautiful groupings of columbine that held promise as good subjects for our workshop participants.

We're off to scout around Lake Irwin, Robinson Basin, and Kebler Pass today, and will meet our workshop group for introductions and orientation this afternoon.

A couple more from our scouting trip to Lake Irwin and Robinson Basin.  The road into Robinson Basin was worse this year than in previous years, so I'm not sure we will drive back into the Basin with the workshop.
