Everyone had so much fun with last week's "Abstract" assignment that I decided to do something similar again for this week. The assignment for the week of 6 - 12 April 2009 is "Patterns." This week's assignment is more of an exercise in "seeing" interesting patterns around us, and presenting those patterns to the viewer in a pleasing composition. It's thought that patterns appeal to viewers because of our innate desire to find order in the world around us. Exercising our ability to "see" and present these patterns in our images strengthens our ability to apply these skills to other less "structured" images.
