Nikon has posted a "D3 Pro Technical Guide," obviously aimed at assisting Pro sports photographers with optimizing their camera setup for the best results. Their are many tips in this guide that would also apply to users of the D300, D700, and D3x, since those cameras use essentially the same autofocus system. The guide is a "quick read" and definitely worth a look if you own one of the cameras listed above. I've already adjusted several of my settings based on the recommendations in the guide.
