Voting for "Texture" Assignment
« on: September 22, 2008, 02:23:47 PM »
Thank you to everyone that submitted images for the "texture" assignment.  The assignment was to "compose an image to enhance the viewers perception of texture, attempting to evoke a sensation in the viewer that they could reach out and touch (and feel) the texture you are portraying."  Participants were reminded to use the the appropriate quality of light for their subject, with a rough texture with large features best illuminated by a “hard” light source, while a softer, finer grained texture is best illuminated by a soft light source.

It was obvious from the images that were submitted that participants had a lot of fun with this assignment.  I think we were successful at freeing the creativity hiding inside several of the participants.  Great job by all!

The images submitted for the "Texture" assignment are displayed below.   Please vote on your favorite image for the "People's Choice" award.  Simply select the image title in the "poll" attached at the top of this thread, and click "submit vote."  NOTE:  You need to be logged in to see the voting options.  Voting will end at midnight, Mountain Daylight Time (GMT-07:00) on Sunday, 28 September 2008.
