Good price ($129.99) on a decent "lightweight" Velbon carbon fiber tripod: http://www.buy.com/prod/velbon-el-carmagne-540-carbon-fiber-tripod-with-ph-250b-3-way-panhead/q/loc/111/90134360.html?adid=17653 (http://www.buy.com/prod/velbon-el-carmagne-540-carbon-fiber-tripod-with-ph-250b-3-way-panhead/q/loc/111/90134360.html?adid=17653) (This is probably due to an "overstock" situation, so I'm not sure how much longer this price will last.)
I haven't used this model myself, but it gets good reviews, and the $129.99 sale price is a very good deal when this tripod sells for $299 at B&H and other retailers. You can read a few reviews for this model on the B&H site: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=NavBar&A=getItemDetail&Q=&sku=322183&is=REG&si=rev (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=NavBar&A=getItemDetail&Q=&sku=322183&is=REG&si=rev)
Note that the load capacity of this tripod is actually 8.8 pounds (as listed on the B&H site) and not the 25 pounds listed on the Buy.com site.
If I was in the market for a lightweight travel tripod, I would be very tempted to order one of these at the sale price.
