After a good deal of procrastination (it has always seemed 'too hard'), I finally acted and downloaded and installed the Firmware Up Grade for the Nikon D300. As usual, I am left wondering why I ever worried about my abilities to follow instructions! Everything worked as it should have. Only problem I encountered was, initially, I left the MB-D10 battery pack in situ, thinking that the batteries were fully charged and would be alright for the procedure. Not good enough. I had to remove the battery pack and the camera functioned properly with the EN-EL3e battery from inside the main camera body. All I had to do was 'follow instructions'! Rod.

Rod,
Good to know that all went well with the upgrade.

P.S.
I hope you don't mind that I moved the post to "cameras, lenses and shooting gear."
