I am working for the school paper this semester. My first photo was published online today.

Great shot Chris. I don't know the man, but I'd say you captured his personality in that image.

Thanks Keith. I think you're right and I've only met him once now. ;D
Here is another from last week, but printed in today's paper. Posed in front of the bookcase:

Hi Chris,
I couldn't get the links to open. I'll try again later and maybe the server won't be so busy.

Didn't get any last week. The snow caused school to close so it's a wonder there was a paper.

Nice fill in the shadows on the first portrait. How did you manage that? Did you take advantage of a natural reflector?

Yes, there was a much lighter colored wall just a couple feet to the right. It worked out pretty well.

Good job!

Here's a better look at the scene.

Thanks. That helps to see what you used as a reflector. Nice work.

Tomorrow I cover a concert at a bar. That should be interesting. I should get a rain coat and insurance for the camera.

Nice series of images in that article Chris.
Have fun at the bar. :)

A new first:
One of my ESU v MSSU Football pics is in the Joplin Globe today.

The online pic is pretty small. You can click on E-Edition on the left of the webpage and turn to the sports section of today's paper for a bigger version.

Hmmm, the link seems to be broken. Congratulations on getting published.
-
Thanks. Got the link fixed.

Nice shot. Every time I shoot sports, I have new respect for the photographers that shoot sports for a living.
